24 HOURS: May 28-29

Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
801 Chase Street, Annapolis
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
rain or shine
If the weather is clear, we will celebrate outdoors, on the labyrinth in front of Maryland Hall.
If the rain returns, we will be inside, in the galleries.

Join all 10 participating organizations and your friends and neighbors to learn more about each and to celebrate their accomplishments for the Greener Good! Come prepared to be amazed by the work of your favorite non-profit and some with which you may not be familiar. Take this opportunity to ask questions of the organizations about their projects and goals.

You'll also learn about our exciting collaborative projects at Maryland Hall:

  • A conservation planting near the south side entrance

  • Removal of invasive species and replanting with natives between Bates Middle School and Maryland Hall

The kickoff party will be a celebration too! Join us for good food and drink and good cheer as we raise funds in a collaborative way for all 10 organizations!

We will also be treated to a performance that celebrates the beauty and diversity of the greatest natural resource in our region, the Chesapeake Bay. Members of the Annapolis Chorale will perform “Chesapeake Triptych: Cry of Earth's Tidal Places,” a new choral/orchestral work by composer Kathy Wonson Eddy commissioned by Live Arts Maryland and conducted by another local treasure, Maestro Ernie Green.

You'll be able to donate to the organizations of your choice at the kickoff online or by check.

Please let us know you're coming by registering at this link!

Thank you to Maryland Hall for hosting our kickoff! If you’ve never been to Maryland Hall or haven’t been lately, now is the perfect time to visit! In the Galleries, you’ll discover a connection to our waterways through the arts.

“Navigation” in the Chaney Gallery is a Partner Exhibition with Maryland Federation of Art. Juried by James Cheevers of the US Naval Academy Museum, the group exhibit features maritime themed works in conjunction with Maryland Boat Week. The Openshaw Balcony Gallery exhibits “Weather on the Water: Works by Annapolis Arts Alliance.” The works emphasize the beauty and drama of both sea and skyscapes of the Chesapeake Bay.
